Set to become the new benchmark for performance SUVs, the BYD Sealion 7 is a fully electric five-seater vehicle with an impressive range of 542 km, powered by the renowned BYD Blade Battery. Sleek and speedy, it can go from 0-100 km/h in just 4.5 seconds.
The BYD Sealion 7 made its first public appearance in the Philippines at the 2026 Manila International Auto Show. Shortly after, BYD Cebu opened reservations for the model. It was officially launched nationwide yesterday at the BYD Tech Tour held at the Glorietta 4 Activity Center.
BYD Cebu’s launch inspired an evening of movement, performance, and journeys, with co-presenter OneRoot Hospitality raffling off an overnight stay for two at Club Serena Resort in Moalboal for those who made reservations, and with entertainment provided by the Y101 FM Rhythm Crew’s Friday Gold Rush. The evening also honored respected businessman, author, and car enthusiast Bunny Pages, who is one of Cebu’s earliest EV adopters and had acquired the BYD Han just before the official launch of BYD in Cebu. Over the years, his BYD journey continued to grow, from the Han to the Tang, and later the Sealion 6 DM-i and Seagull for his businesses. When he heard of the BYD Sealion 7, he was among the very first to place a reservation.

Powerful& Flexible Vehicle
The BYD Sealion 7 is an all-wheel-drive SUV engineered to deliver exceptional performance. With a maximum output of 530 Ps and peak torque of 690 Nm, it ranks among the strongest performers in its class.
Its 82.6 kWh battery delivers a range of up to 542 km—more than enough for a round trip across Cebu from coast to coast. For added convenience, the Sealion 7 can charge from 30% to 80% in just 30 minutes using DC fast charging, or from 15% to 100% in 16 hours via AC charging.
The BYD Sealion 7 also features Vehicle-to-Load technology, allowing owners to power gadgets, small appliances, and camping gear directly from the vehicle.
Sporty and Sleek Exteriors
The BYD Sealion 7 is aerodynamically designed, with sleek curves and an overall sporty look. It features a panoramic glass roof, hidden door handles, a power tailgate, 20” alloy wheels, and LED lights for the headlights, taillights, and the daytime running lights.
It is available in four striking colors: Aurora White, Cosmos Black, Deep Sea Blue, and Shark Grey.
Premium & Functional Interior
Inside the BYD Sealion 7, comfort is a priority. The five seats are wrapped in premium leather. For the driver, the Memory Seats are adjustable eight ways and have a leg rest feature. Front passengers enjoy ventilated front seats as well, and the rear can fold back in a 60/40 configuration.
Creature comforts include dual zone AC with rear air vents, wireless phone charger, USB-C/A ports both in front and rear, 12-speaker Dynaudio, and a 15.6” infotainment touchscreen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
Completing the premium cabin is Dynamic Ambient Lighting adding a touch of class to the interiors.
Safety Features
Safety comes as standard with the BYD Sealion 7 with eight airbags, ISOFIX, a 360-degree view camera, and front and rear parking sensors. It also features adaptive cruise control, lane keeping and lane departure assist, forward and rear collision warning, blind spot detection, driver attention warning, child presence detection, traction control system, electronic brake force distribution, and hill hold control, among many others.
Alongside the 10.25” digital cluster behind the steering wheel, the BYD Sealion 7 also comes with a head up display, allowing drivers to see pivotal driving information easily. It is also the first car in BYD Philippines’ lineup to be equipped with a Driver Fatigue Monitoring System, which uses a special camera to check the driver for signs of drowsiness of decreasing attention on the road, providing a warning when necessary.
