Cebu City, January 2026 — Seda Ayala Center Cebu brought together art, faith, and community with the opening of “Mugna sa Pagtuo ug Kalig-on,” an exhibit for a cause that highlights Cebuano faith, resilience, and creative expression.

The exhibit opened with remarks from Mr. Ron Manalang, newly appointed Cluster General Manager of Seda Ayala Center Cebu, setting the tone for an event rooted in belief, strength, and shared purpose. The program featured performances by Sinulog Idol 2016 Champion Jared Roble and a lively Sinulog dance number by Seda Ayala Center Cebu’s own staff.

The opening was graced by Governor Pam Baricuatro, Governor of Cebu Province who joined Mr. Manalang in formally opening the exhibit. “Mugna sa Pagtuo ug Kalig-on” runs from January 14 to 19, 2026, from 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM, at the Seda Ayala Center Cebu lobby.

More than an artistic showcase, the exhibit carries a deeper purpose. Following the 2025 earthquake that affected several churches in Northern Cebu, Seda Ayala Center Cebu partnered with the Archdiocese of Cebu, with a portion of the exhibit’s sales dedicated to church reconstruction efforts—supporting the restoration of both heritage structures and community faith.

A key highlight of the exhibit is the rare display of an 18th-century Rococo-style silver urn and a vintage pilgrim replica image of Señor Sto. Niño from the Basilica Minore del Sto. Niño. This marks the first and only time a hotel has been authorized to display this historic artifact, once used during religious processions in earlier times.

The exhibit showcases a curated selection of works, including paintings by Doodz Iligan, photography from the Archdiocese of Cebu’s “Lens of Faith,” and wearable art by Balik Batik. Select vendors are also featured, offering Sto. Niño images, Titay’s delicacies, and Sinulog-themed merchandise.

Throughout the Sinulog weekend, Seda Ayala Center Cebu’s lobby was enlivened by continuous Sinulog performances. In celebration of the festivities, the hotel also offered a special lunch and dinner buffet at Misto, available from January 16 to 18, 2026, at Php 1,488 net per person, giving guests a festive culinary experience.

The public is invited to visit “Mugna sa Pagtuo ug Kalig-on,” support the cause, and take part in a celebration where art, faith, and compassion come together.
